New Word. New Way.

Both sides. I don’t get into politics.

As a result, I have become a huge fan of the podcast. It allows me to learn while I drive and doesn’t require total and abject concentration.

One of my favorites is Oprah’s Soul Conversations. Yesterday, I listened to a great one from Marie Forleo.

Her topic? Everything is figureoutable. I love this.

Everything is figureoutable.

She told the story of her mom who, before the age of YouTube and the Interweb just figured stuff out when it broke. Roof leaking? Figure it out and fix it. Tiles loose in the bathroom? Figure it out and fix it. Transistor radio broken? Take it apart, figure it out and fix it.

Everything is figureoutable.

When you think about it, really think about it, pretty much everything IS figureoutable. You just have to give yourself a little grace and time to think. You have to push aside the panic, get to a place of logic and figure it out.

Where most of us break down is in the panic stage. We are so busy thinking about the worst case scenario, that we don’t take the time to take the issue apart, analyze it and see what we can do to fix it.

We are paralyzed by the stuff that could happen but wouldn’t if we took action and, well, figured it out.

Finances? Figureoutable. Health and wellness? Figureoutable. Parenting issues? Figureoutable. Work issues? So totally figureoutable.

Stop. Figure it out. And take the necessary action.

Maybe you are having trouble figuring it out on your own but somebody somewhere can help. Ask for it. Together? Figureoutable.

I’ve got a bunch of stuff I’m figuring out over break. Nothing earth shattering at all but this idea that everything is figureoutable gives me the hope and motivation I need to continue moving forward to get where I want to be.

If you are facing an issue that seems like there is no solution, take a step back and take a good hard look at it. Then you’ll see, it’s totally figureoutable.#HappyFix #SelfCare
